Tax and SARS compliance

Income tax, provisional tax and the compliance status that banks, tenders and buyers ask for.

Compliance is a calendar, not a crisis

Most pain we see is a missed provisional payment, an estimate copied from a year that no longer resembles the business, or a return filed from books that were never closed. We put the dates that apply to your year-end on one calendar and work backwards from them.

When it comes to tax, we do not let the tail wag the dog. A structure that only exists to impress a form, and that you cannot operate, is not a plan. We look at the past to learn, then build on the business you actually run.

What we will and will not do

We prepare calculations, check the source, and file or hand you a return that is ready to file, depending on how your eFiling profile is set up. We explain the number in words. We do not sell aggressive arrangements, and we will tell you when a question belongs with a tax counsel or an attorney.

  • Provisional tax estimates tied to the year-to-date books
  • Company or owner income tax returns
  • Support when SARS asks for a verification
  • A check of whether small business corporation rates might apply, before anyone assumes they do

What is included

  • A compliance calendar for your year end
  • IRP6 estimates with the workings kept on file
  • Annual return preparation from closed books
  • Correspondence support for routine SARS queries
  • A plain-language note of what you are paying and why

Questions on this service

For a February year-end, which many small companies use, the first IRP6 is due on 31 August and the second on the last business day of February. For the 2027 year of assessment that is 31 August 2026 and 26 February 2027. Other year-ends use different dates. Read the provisional tax guide for the pattern, then let us confirm yours.

Often, yes: outstanding returns, a payment arrangement, or a correction. We will not promise a green status by a tender deadline we have not seen. The first step is a list of what SARS says is outstanding, matched to what was actually filed.
