We
We are a small business too. We take what is useful from newer tools and leave the theatre. When it comes to tax, we do not let the tail wag the dog. The pressure at the door is rarely “the Receiver”. It is a business that has become personal, and needs a clear number.

Chartered accountant. SAICA member since 2007. Founding director of TSBA (Pty) Ltd. He has been the financial director of The Small Business Accountant from Cape Town since 2007, after earlier years as a project accountant at BroadReach Healthcare and an audit manager at Moore Stephens VDA.

The Small Business Accountant, or TSBA, is the accounting practice of TSBA (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town, Western Cape. The firm looks after bookkeeping, monthly accounting, SARS tax, VAT, payroll and Sage for owner-managed and family businesses in South Africa. Rudolf Etsebeth is the founding director and financial director.
Rudolf Etsebeth is a chartered accountant and SAICA member since 2007. He has guided small business owners from Cape Town since then, and in September 2018 he founded TSBA (Pty) Ltd. Earlier in his career he worked as a project accountant at BroadReach Healthcare and as an audit manager at Moore Stephens VDA. He is a Sage Business Cloud Accounting adviser and an accredited FNB Instant Accountant.
The practice is based in Cape Town, Western Cape. Most of the monthly work happens in Sage, on email and on a call, so clients do not have to be in the city. We meet Cape Town owners in person when that helps. Businesses elsewhere in South Africa are welcome when the fit is right.
